Gilded washi paper-Silver leaves

Delicate silver leaves are neatly gilded on a piece of washi paper by hands, to make them easier to handle.
Silver is easier to discolor than other materials. However, this is the evidence that it is a real silver. It also is a material that may be able to see the high aesthetics of Japan which they tend to love “aging.”
