LOS ANGELES [CASA]Exhibited Works

From February 7 to 15, 2026, an interior item exhibition and sales event based on Kyoto craftsmanship was held at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Los Angeles, USA.

We were also given the opportunity to exhibit, and created works that incorporate techniques using gold leaf and gold mud under the theme of “weather.”

For each piece, we carefully developed a concept specifically for this occasion, and skilled artisans used traditional techniques such as gilding, sunago (gold sprinkling), and kirikane (cut gold) for the decoration.

Here, we introduce some of the techniques and materials used, in the hope that they will serve as inspiration for your own creations.
